NAGALAND: PFUTSEROMI VILLAGERS DONATES PYTHONS

An appeal made by the Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO) and Chakhesang Youth Front (CYF) to protect and preserve wildlife, the Pfutseromi villagers donated mother python and baby python, apparently Burmese rock python, to the Nagaland Zoological Park (NZP), Dimapur. The officials of department of environment forest and climate change, Phek forest department, transported and handed over the reptiles to NZP, Rangapahar.

According to the villagers the bigger python was 13.4 ft long and weighs 36 kg and the smaller one was 7.6 ft long and weighs 6-7 kg.
