Ayodhya broke Ujjain’s record and also its own previous ones on October 23 when 15.76 lakh earthen lamps were lit at Ram Ki Paidi and other ghats on the Saryu riverbank on Deepotsav, on the eve of Diwali. 

Earlier in 2021,  the Ayodhya administration had set a Guinness world record by lighting 9,41,551 diyas at the Deepotsav.
