General Bipin Rawat said that the Army had confirmed information that terrorists are coming closer to the forward areas especially the Keran, Tangdhar and the Naugaon sector in Kashmir.

Rawat confirmed that the army had targeted the camps using artillery guns. "The Pakistan army and the terrorists have suffered heavy casualties," he affirmed.

He said, "Ever since Article 370 was abrogated from J&K, we have been getting repeated inputs of infiltration by terrorists from across the border to disturb peace and harmony in the state."

He further alleged that some agencies are working behind the scenes to disrupt peace in the Valley.

General Bipin Rawat said, "Last evening, an attempt was made in Tangdhar to infiltrate terrorists, we retaliated."

"Pakistan carried out attack firing at our post in which we did suffer but before they could attempt the infiltration, it was decided that we target the terror camps across", he added.
