Four people, including a child, called Usma Jan, were injured after terrorists opened fire in Jammu and Kashmir's Sopore, police said.
The injured, including the child, have been shifted to the hospital where they are undergoing treatment. Their condition is said to be stable. Police personnel have arrived at the spot and are investigating the matter.
J&K police have described the shooting as a "merciless act of terrorism". It may be mentioned here that Pakistan is trying to push terrorists into the Kashmir Valley to disrupt peace in the Valley after the abrogation of Article 370.
Two terrorists with links to Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba were caught near the LoC in Baramulla district last month.

Moreover, the Kashmir Valley has been on high-alert, with extra forces being deployed by the Government to keep the peace the region.
