5 killed as boat capsizes during Durga idol immersion In West Bengal

Murshidabad: Five people killed after two country boats capsized in a river of Murshidabad district, West Bengal on Monday.

As per reposts, the five men were residents of Beldanga and the bodies were recovered near Dumni.

The incident took place around 5:15 pm on Monday, October 26, 2020.

As per reports, the two boats were carrying around 10 people each for Durga idol immersion.

"Divers are still looking if there is anybody else in the water. Police and disaster management department personnel are working together. We will look into the matter,” a officer has been quoted as saying.
