Army convoy ambushed in J&K's Baramulla, civilian killed, four soldiers injured

Baramulla district in Jammu and Kashmir witnessed a fresh wave of violence as terrorists targeted an Army convoy on Thursday, leaving four soldiers injured and claiming the life of a civilian. Earlier the same day, militants opened fire on a laborer in the Batgund Tral area of Pulwama district, intensifying fears of renewed insurgent offensives. The recent spate of violence saw a particularly grim incident on October 20, when a terrorist assault on a tunnel construction site along the Srinagar-Leh national highway in Ganderbal district resulted in the deaths of a doctor and six construction workers. These events have underscored the pressing need for increased security vigilance and proactive counter-terrorism efforts.
