The Bangladesh government has announced one-day national mourning on Wednesday, in honour of former President Pranab Mukherjee. The national flag will be flown half-mast on that day.
It was seen that Bangladesh national flag flew at half-mast as the country paid homage to Shri Pranab Mukherjee
The neighbouring country had conferred the honour of ‘Bangladesh Muktijuddho Sommanona’ on the former President Pranab Mukherjee in 2013 for his valuable contribution to Bangladesh’s Liberation War of 1971.

Calling Pranab Mukherjee a highly esteemed leader of South Asia, Sheikh Hasina said that the tireless work of Bharat Ratna Pranab Mukherjee will inspire future generations of leaders not only in India but across countries in the region. She also recalled his steadfast support and contribution in strengthening the relations between the two countries.
Former president Pranab Mukherjee passed away on Monday at the age of 84. He had recently undergone brain surgery at the Army's Research and Referral Hospital in New Delhi.
