Guwahati, February 10, 2019:

The tense political climate in West Bengal has deteriorated further with the murder of Trinamool Congress MLA Mukul Roy and the TMC party has been quick to point an accusatory finger at political rivals BJP.

Now, the West Bengal police have named BJP state leader Mukul Roy in the FIR regarding the murder of the MLA, who was murdered on Saturday night when he was attending a function on the eve of Saraswati puja at West Bengal’s Nadia district.

The BLP has denied all the allegations and said that the MLA’s death is the result of the deteriorating law and order condition in the state under TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee’s rule.

It is to be mentioned that Roy, who was earlier aligned with the TMC, has been positioned as a strong rival to challenge Mamata Banerjee in the state in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
