BJP MP injured in attack by cow, hospitalised

Guwahati (Assam), Sept 1, 2018:

A BJP MP was admitted to the ICU of a hospital after he was attacked by a stray cow in front of his house in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.

According to reports, the ribs of Liladher Vaghela, who is a member of Lok Sabha, were fractured in the attack which took place when he went out for a stroll. The 83-year-old suffered severe head injuries.

Vaghela had earlier served as a Cabinet minister in Gujarat before being elected as an MP. He is also a member of the Standing Committee on Water Resources, Consultative Committee of the Ministry of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water and Sanitation and Railway Convention Committee.
