New Delhi, October 24, 2019:

The BJP is set to form a government in Maharashtra along with allies Shiv Sena and with the help of other parties could even come back to power in Haryana, but the results are closer than expected.

In Haryana, former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today reached out to opposition parties to form an alliance against the BJP government as the Congress, battling infighting and a drubbing in the Lok Sabha polls, put up an impressive show in the assembly elections.

Trends showed the Congress was ahead in 31 seats in the state — making a comeback of sorts — compared to the BJP’s 40.

We will continue to work with the same zeal and dedication for the state’s progress. I laud the efforts of hardworking @BJP4Haryana Karyakartas who toiled extensively and went among the people to elaborate on our development agenda."
