It has just been reported that two personnel of the Indian Army have tested positive for the deadly coronavirus or COVID-19 earlier today. One of the infected persons is a Colonel (Doctor) from Kolkata, while the other is JCO from Dehradun. Both had a history of travel.

In a WhatsApp message, the CPRO said, “One personnel has showed symptoms of Covid-19. The patient has been isolated and all the guidelines and protocol advised by various agencies are being followed. We have been verbally informed by the lab that the patient has tested positive for Covid-19.”
Meanwhile, necessary contact tracing has been done and the persons who had contact with the two jawans have been quarantined so far. Meanwhile, official sources have confirmed that the duo are keeping good health and are stable. It is pertinent to mention here that earlier information about a jawan being tested positive in Srinagar is untrue.

COVID-19 UPDATE:
685,154 have been infected by the coronavirus so far, while 32,183 have died so far from an infection. 506,571 are still suffering from infections, and 25,426 (5%) are said to be in a serious/critical condition.
