BSF shoots down 5 intruders at India-Pakistan

The Border Security Force (BSF) shot dead five intruders, who were trying to cross over the Indian territory from Pakistan a village in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district, officials informed on Saturday.

The incident took place after troops noticed suspicious movement of intruders violating International Border along with Tarn Taran at around 5 am in the morning and fired upon the violators in self-defense after being initially challenged upon by them.

The officials also said that the personnel from BSF’s 103rd battalion have also recovered an AK-series rifle and a pistol from the site where these intruders were killed near Dal village of Bhikhiwind sub-division in the district, they added.

Earlier on June 20, the Border Security Force (BSF) on Saturday (June 20) shot down a Pakistani drone along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir. According to a ANI report, the drone was shot down in the forward post along the IB in Rathua village in Hiranagar taluka in the Kathua district.
