Four JeM Terrorists have Entered New Delhi: Intelligence Reports

New Delhi, October 3, 2019:

Security agencies have revealed that four Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists have entered Delhi and are planning to strike during the festival season, said reports.

As per reports, all four of them are said to be heavily armed.

According to intelligence reports, a special cell of the Delhi Police received an alert on Wednesday evening about the development of the Pakistan based terrorists’ presence in the state.

Delhi Police has launched search operations especially in the more crowded neighbourhoods.

After the intelligence warnings of a terror plan to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and National Security Adviser Ajit Doval, the country has put 30 major cities in high alert.

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is also alert to a threat to frontline bases following multi-agency inputs.

In, IAF bases in Srinagar, Awantipora, Jammu, Pathankot and Hindon, the security has been tightened. Also, an "orange alert", which is a notch lower than the highest state of emergency has also been placed in these stations.

As per the inputs of the Defence Ministry and intelligence agencies, the Jaish-e-Mohammad is plotting for a 'fidayeen' or suicide attack on airbases. The input includes- a threat letter dated September 10, in Hindi is from one Shamsher Wani of Jaish, threatening revenge for the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir. The input was received by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security.
