New Delhi, March 7, 2020:

BJP national President J P Nadda's son's reception ceremony is now in the spotlight -- but for all the wrong reasons. Apparently, the wedding invitation list included the names of Gorkha leaders notorious for causing mayhem during the Darjeeling Gorkhaland unrest in 2017.

Guests invited to the high-profile wedding in Delhi were surprised to see fugitives charged under the UAPA in the Darjeeling Gorkhaland unrest - Gorkha Janamukti Morcha (GJM) chief Bimal Gurung and senior leader Roshan Giri - attending the marriage ceremony. At one point, they were even seen posing for pictures with the BJP leader.

As per our sources, the two leaders who took part in the uprising have more than 100 cases against them for damage to property and loss of lives in the 2017 unrest in Darjeeling demanding a separate state called Gorkhaland for their community.

Last week, their bail petition was rejected by the Calcutta High Court's Jalpaiguri circuit bench. However, the duo continue to be at large. And now, they have even been seen hobnobbing with the who's who of Indian politics at the BJP President's posh reception.
