Gehlot sworn in as Rajasthan CM

Guwahati, December 17, 2018:

After comprehensive victories in the Hindi heartland states of Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh by the Congress party, new Chief Ministers are being sworn on Monday.

In Rajasthan, Ashok Gehlot took oath, with Sachin Pilot being sworn in as his deputy. The 10:15 am ceremony, which was held at the Albert Hall Ground, Jaipur, saw senior Congress leaders including Rahul Gandhi and Manmohan Singh in attendance.

The other two CM-designates, Kamal Nath (Madhya Pradesh) and Bhupesh Baghel (Chhattisgarh), are to be sworn in later in the day. Kamal Nath is scheduled to be sworn in at Bhopal’s Jamburi Maidan at 1:15 pm, while Baghel is set to take oath at Raipur’s Government Science Ground at 4:30 pm.
