Jammu and Kashmir, February 26, 2019:

In a show of strength, the Indian Air Forces have struck militant training camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir in an early morning raid, completely obliterating them in the process. As per the Army sources, the training camp at Balakot was bombed from 3:45-3:53 am, Muzaffarbad was bombed from 3:48 AM - 3:55 AM and Chakoti from 3:58 AM- 4:04 AM.

In the air-strike which lasted for a total of 21 mins, joint training camps of terror groups Jaish-e-Muhammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) have been destroyed. As per reports, the terror groups had emptied launchpads but not the training camps.

It is to be mentioned that Balakot, a town in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province is a mere 50 kms away from the LoC. The attack was carried out in retaliation to the dastardly terror attack by Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed where 42 CRPF jawans were martyred.

As per reports, twelve Indian Air Force Mirage 2000 fighter jets took part in the operation and dropped 1,000 kg bombs on the terror camps, completely obliterating them. It is believed that the attack is a meticulously planned-out 'surgical-strike' operation to avenge the dastardly terror attack by Pakistan-based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed where 42 jawans were martyred. Further details are awaited.
