Escaping from severe damage, an Indian Air Force AN-32 overshot a runway at the Mumbai International Airport late in the night on Tuesday. However, no casualty was reported.
The plane remained stuck at the runway till Wednesday morning and an IAF team cleared the runway today.
More than 50 flights were affected and the average departure delay was 28 minutes during the clearing of operations.
As per the official statement, the Air Force plane was on runway excursion at 11.30 pm and was traveling to the Yelahanaka Air Force station in Bengaluru.
Reportedly, the aircraft had abandoned take-off in view of a technical issue and overshot the runway.
