Indian Army soldier martyred in ceasefire violation by Pakistan

Guwahati, March 18, 2019:

Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked ceasefire violation in Sunderbani sector along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri District for the second consecutive day on 18 March. Pakistan army started firing unprovoked at 5:30 am.

Rifleman Karamjeet Singh, who took part in the retaliation, was critically injured and later succumbed to his injuries. The incident occurred in Keri Battal forward area, officials have said.

The martyred rifleman Karamjeet Singh, aged 24 years, belonged to Janer village of Moga district in Punjab. He is survived by his parents.
