International Olympic committee withdraws hosting of Olympics in India

Guwahati, February 22, 2019:

The International Olympic Committee has suspended all Indian applications to host events in future and has urged international sports federations, not to stage competitions in India after two Pakistani players visa were denied to compete in New Delhi.

The IOC said, the denial of visas for competitors, went against the principles of the Olympic charter relating to discrimination and political interference from the host country.

It may be mention that the cricket council has already made decisions to ban Pakistan. Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council has also asked the Board of Control for Cricket in India to ban Pakistan from World Cup 2019.
