Kashmir Cop Davinder Singh Provided Support to Hizbul Mujahideen Militants, Report

New Delhi, January 15, 2020:

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Davinder Singh, who was recently arrested, had provided the militants of the Hizbul Mujahideen with logistics support.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) questioned Singh and it was revealed that he was providing support to the militants with logistics support for the past three days.

Preliminary investigation, reportedly, suggested that the DSP had also been providing safe passage to militants from one district to another for the last three years.

A probe is underway to unearth the matter. It may be mentioned here that the DSP also provided shelter to two Hizbul Mujahideen militants, namely Naveed Babu and Altaf, at his residence, who are murder accused.

It may be mentioned here that the Jammu & Kashmir Police are examining Singh’s assetss and cases he was associated with in the past. The investigation is also on about him providing safe passage to the militants from north to South Kashmir on a regular basis.

It may be mentioned here that DSP Davinder Singh was under investigation earlier as well. He earlier had tried to extort money when he was posted in the critical Special Operations Group (SoG).
