According to BJP leader Ram Kadam, the ruling Shiv Sena is misusing power and added that the Raigad court’s late-night bail order was a “tight slap” on the Maharashtra government. As per the bail order accessed by News18, the judge said that Rane’s arrest was “justified” but slammed the police for failing to maintain a “proper case diary”.
The court said, “In the present case, the investigating officer did not follow the said mandate. No need of police custody accused remanded to judicial custody till September 4.”
