PM Modi inaugurates India’s first seaplane service in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the country’s first seaplane service between the Statue of Unity at Kevadiya colony to the Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad as a tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel on his 145th birth anniversary.

According to reports, the seaplane will be operated by SpiceJet and is a Twin Otter 300 which is registered in the name of SpiceJet Technic.

An Ekta Diwas parade has been organised on October 31 by the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) and the Gujarat Police in the PM’s presence.

PM Modi arrived in Gujarat on Friday for his two-day visit to the state to attend the National Unity Day events planned at the State of Unity.

The PM inaugurated almost 17 new projects on Friday including some of the major attractions like Arogya Van, Ekta Mall, Children Nutrition Park, Sardar Patel Zoological Park or Jungle safari. He further laid the foundation stone for four upcoming projects.
