Former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram has finally been granted bail by the Supreme Court. He was in judicial custody since September 5.
The apex Court has said that the 74-year-old Congress leader will remain in the custody of Enforcement Directorate.

The Supreme Court said that Chidambaram "can be released if he in not required in any other case". The apex Court directed that he will have to give a bond of Rs. 1 lakh.
P Chidambaram spent more than a month in the Tihar jail last week. He was released last week. A special court in Delhi had sent him to the custody of the Enforcement Directorate in the INX Media case.
