UDHAMPUR: Fahim Nazir Shah (28), a big fan of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has begun his 815-kilometer journey on foot from Srinagar to Delhi, hoping to meet him.
Shah is a resident of Srinagar's Shalimar area.
"I am a big fan of PM Modi," the 28-year-old, who works as a part-time electrician in Srinagar, Jammu, and Kashmir, said as he arrived in Udhampur on Sunday after walking over 200 kilometres.
Taking short breaks on his journey, which began two days ago, Shah believes that his dream of meeting the prime minister will be realised at the end of this arduous journey.

"I am on my way to Delhi on foot to meet him (Modi), and I'm hoping to catch his attention. Meeting the Prime Minister is a long-held dream of mine," he added.
He said earlier also he had attempted to meet PM Modi had been unsuccessful so far.
Shah stated that he has been following the Prime Minister for four years.
"His speech and actions have touched my heart," he said.
"At one point, while delivering an address at a rally, he suddenly stopped on hearing the "azaan" (Muslim call to prayer)," he explained. "That gesture of our prime minister touched my heart, and I became his ardent fan."
"This time, I am hopeful I will have the opportunity to meet with the Prime Minister," Shah said.
Shah stated that if he can meet him he would like to discuss with the Prime Minister the problems of educated and unemployed youths, as well as the development of the Union Territory's industrial sector.
