PM pays tribute to Vajpayee on 94th birth anniversary

Guwahati, December 25, 2018:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to former Prime Minister, the late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, on occasion of his 94^th birth anniversary at Smriti Sthal in New Delhi today. The ceremony was also attended by various dignitaries, including former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, President Ramnath Kovind, and BJP President Amit Shah.

It may be mentioned that the Modi government has sanctioned hundred rupee coins bearing the visage of the former Prime Minister. Vajpayee, who passed away at the age of 93 earlier this year, was born on the 25^th of December, 1924, in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The coin was released on the eve of Vajpayee’s birth anniversary.
