Jammu and Kashmir, February 26, 2019:

According to sources, 200-300 militants were killed during the Indian Air Force pre-dawn strikes. During the 21-minute attack, 1,000 kg of bombs were dropped on terror camps by Mirage 2000 Indian Fighter Jets. With this attack, India has upped the ante and sent a clear message to the hostile neighbor Pakistan which is considered a breeding ground for terrorists.

The attack was carried out twelve days after the deadly Pulwama attack on February 14 where 42 CRPF jawans were martyred after a Jaish militant rammed an SUV laden with explosives into a truck belonging to a military convoy. The attack is being called ‘surgical strike 2.0’ as it was meticulously planned out and implemented by the Air Force.

Meanwhile, Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale has confirmed that a large number of JeM terrorists, trainers and commanders were killed in the attack on the largest Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) camps in Pakistan occupied Kashmir’s Balakot region. Pakistan Army spokesperson Major General Asif Ghafoor has also confirmed that the Indian Air Force has violated the LoC.
