Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Guwahati on December 28 to attend the party’s foundation and also lead the protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act organized by the party.
Rahul Gandhi is expected to attend the protest to be held in Khanapara Veterinary field in Guwahati.

However, according to the source, uncertainty looms over his visit depends on the weather condition.
It is to be mentioned here that the Congress has been opposing the C(A)A since it has been passed by the parliament. Meanwhile, Congress Chief Ministers have said saying that they will not implement the CAA in their states.
The contentious bill turned act was passed in the Rajya Sabha on December 11, amid massive protests across the state of Assam.
However, the bill got swiftly passed and led to a situation of unrest in the entire country.
