The rescue mission for all the bodies of ‘Air Warriors’ on board AN-32 is still on. The Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) and Flight Data Recorder (FDR) have been recovered from the crash site on Friday.
Three more civil mountaineers were inducted into the rescue mission on Thursday.
Weather, rain and difficult terrain continue to adversely affect the rescue operation.
All 13 persons on board the ill-fated AN-32 transport aircraft of Indian Air Force, which went missing on June 3, died in the crash.
Eight members of the rescue team reached the crash site Thursday morning for the rescue mission.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) has already confirmed that none of the 13 persons aboard the AN-32 aircraft survived the crash.
“Following air-warriors lost their life in the tragic #An32 crash – W/C GM Charles, S/L H Vinod, F/L R Thapa, F/L A Tanwar, F/L S Mohanty, F/L MK Garg, WO KK Mishra, Sgt Anoop Kumar, Cpl Sherin, LAC SK Singh, LAC Pankaj, NC(E) Putali & NC(E) Rajesh Kumar,” a Tweet sent out by the IAF read.
The wreckage was found in Payum Circle of Siang district. It was spotted by a Mi-17 helicopter of the Indian Air Force, at a height of around 12,000 feet.
The plane was travelling from Jorhat in Assam to a remote military landing strip in Mechuka in Arunachal Pradesh when it vanished from the radar around 1 pm on June 3.
