New Delhi, July 3, 2019:

Gandhi scion Rahul Gandhi (or RaGa, take your pick!) has finally stepped down as the Chief of the Congress party today after much speculation. Rahul accounced his decision via an open letter which he shared on social media platforms. In this letter, the former Congress Chief launched a series of scathing attacks against the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and their ideological brothers, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

In his resignation letter, Rahul alleged that the 'stated objective of the RSS', that is, the capture of the country's institutional structure, is now complete. RaGa further warned that the Indian democracy has been 'fundamentally weakened'.

Rahul warned that there is a real danger that from now on, elections will go from being a 'determinate of India's future' to a 'mere ritual'.

"This capture of power will result in unimaginable levels of violence and pain for India. Farmers, unemployed youngsters, women, tribals, dalits, and minorities, are going to suffer the most", he wrote.

Rahul also warned that the economy as well as the "nations's reputation" will be devastating. Rahul also accused the sitting Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, of corrupt practices.

"The Indian nation must unite to reclaim and resuscitate our institutions", he said and added that the Congress party will be the 'instrument' of the 'resuscitation'.

He further wrote that the BJP party is "crushing the voice of the Indian people", and added that it is the duty of the Congress party to "defend these voices".

"India has never and will never be one voice. It is and always will be a symphony of voices. That is the true essence of 'Bharat Maata'", assured Rahul.
