"Shighroi Aschhe...", ISIS issues threat in Bangla

Guwahati, April 28, 2019:

In an alarming development, a pro-Islamic State (ISIS) Telegram channel has released a poster which says "coming soon" in Bangla, which could signal attacks in West Bengal and Bangladesh.

Released on Thursday night, the poster reads " [coming soon], Inshallah...". The poster in question also features the logo of a group called Al-Mursalat.

This is indeed a cause for alarm as ISIS-affiliated Jamatul Mujahideen (JMB) already has a strong presence in Bangladesh. Moreover, the group is also active in Assam and West Bengal.

Moreover, the JMB is allegedly trying to recruit youths to join them.

The circulation of the poster is being taken seriously as ISIS has recently claimed the serial blasts which rocked Sri Lanka, killing 359 and wounding more than 500.
