A least six suspected militants were killed in a gun battle with the Indian Army in Anantnag, Jammu & Kashmir on Friday.
The encounter was conducted by the 3 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and J&K Police jointly based on an specific input at the Sekipora village.
According to Army officials, the gun fight between the security forces and militants began in the early hours on Friday. The six suspected militants are yet to be identified but it has been suspected that the deceased were militants of Hizbul Mujahideen. The operation team also recovered arms and ammunition from the encounter site.
