Guwahati, May 8, 2019:

A Delhi mom is winning hearts all over the nation because of a Facebook post she shared appreciating her boy who scored a "mere" 60% in the CBSE 10th exams.

I say "mere" because of the lofty standards the parents are setting for their children where nothing short of 90% will do. In fact, the cut-off marks set by the Universities is so high that anything less than 90% is considered "below average" by prevailing societal standards.

Thus, it comes as nothing but a surprise when Vandana Sufia Katoch, the proud mother of a 10th appearing son, has appreciated her son's effort to get a 60% with a Facebook post that has blown up social media.

"Super proud of my boys who scored a 60%", she writes, adding "it is not a 90, but that doesn't change how I feel." Katoch says.

She adds: "Simply because I have seen him struggle with certain subjects almost to the point of giving up and then deciding to give his all in the last month and a half to finally make it through."

"Here's to you, Aamer. And others like you-fishes asked to climb trees", she says.

At a time when many students are committing suicide out of fear of fearing failure, this mother's heartfelt Facebook post is a sign that humanity still continues to be a factor in the world despite the pressures of 'materialism.' Hats off to this 'super mom'.
