Guwahati, February 3, 2019:

In an embarrassing incident, Yogi Adityanath’s helicopter was prohibited from landing in West Bengal. Yogi was headed to Balurghat in Nouth Dinajpur district to address the ‘Ganatantra Bachao Rally’ at 10:30 am today, but his chopper was not cleared to land near the venue by local authorities.

Undeterred, Yogi addressed the crowd from his phone, stating that he had to resort to ‘Digital India’ of Narendra Modi (by using his phone to address the crowd) since he could not be at the venue. Lashing out at the West Bengal administration, Yogi said they are acting like “TMC cadres in the state”.

He further alleged that the TMC administration is afraid of the BJP as they are on their way out from West Bengal.

The Malda administration has claimed that the VVIP helicopter could not be landed because of some construction which was going on in the area.

It is to be mentioned that BJP President Amit Shah too had been previously barred from landing his chopper at Malda in West Bengal.
