AIMIM chairman Asaduddin Owaisi's home on Ashoka Road in central Delhi's high-security area had two glass panels on a door that were damaged on Sunday night, the Delhi Police said on August 14.
According to police, a resident's carer reported the shattered glass to them about 5 p.m. on Sunday. Owaisi, a Hyderabad native and four-term member of the Lok Sabha, wasn't home in Delhi.
No stones or other objects that may have broken the glass were discovered at the scene, according to a senior police officer.
“We did not find any stones that may have broken the glass. Further probe is underway,” a New Delhi district police officer said.
This is the second time this year that Owaisi’s official residence in Delhi has been allegedly vandalised. On February 19 of this year, vandals smashed his nameplate at the entryway with stones. Owaisi stated that it was the fourth such attack on his home since 2014 in a tweet at the time.
