Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi has launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, accusing them of avoiding discussions on critical issues such as the Adani controversy and the ongoing Manipur crisis.
Speaking during a parliamentary debate on the Constitution, Gogoi stated, “During the discussion, we came to know how much respect Amit Shah and Narendra Modi have for Baba Saheb Ambedkar. The truth has come out.”
Gogoi alleged that the government evaded questions about the Adani issue, raising concerns about accountability. Criticizing the Prime Minister's recent speech, he said, “Prime Minister Modi did not say anything about Manipur in his 2-hour speech. Those 12 seconds from Amit Shah will prove very costly for BJP and Amit Shah.”

The Congress leader called for Shah’s resignation and an apology, asserting that the government's lack of response to the Manipur situation reflects poorly on its commitment to addressing pressing national matters.
The Congress has been persistent in its demand for a comprehensive discussion on the Manipur crisis in Parliament. The state has faced prolonged ethnic violence, resulting in significant loss of life and displacement.
Gogoi's remarks underscore the opposition's call for decisive government action and transparency.
