On January 26, 2024, the Indian Air Force (IAF) participated in the grand 75th Republic Day parade held at Kartavya Path in New Delhi.
The IAF tableau, themed 'Bharatiya Vayu Sena: Saksham, Sashakt, Atmanirbhar' has been a testament to the force's might and capabilities.
The tableau commanders are Flt Lt Ananya Sharma and Flying Officer Asma Shaikh.
Meanwhile, the Indian Air Force marching contingent was led by Squadron Leader Rashmi Thakur with Squadron Leader Sumita Yadav, Squadron Leader Pratiti Ahluwalia and Flight Lieutenant Kirit Rohil.

The flypast was a significant part of the parade, featuring an impressive array of 54 aircraft, which included fighter jets, helicopters, and transport aircraft.
Notably, the flypast also included 15 women aviators, underscoring the role of women in the armed forces and their empowerment within the IAF.
Adding to the spectacle, the parade saw the participation of a French refuel aircraft accompanied by two Rafael jets, symbolizing the strategic partnership between India and France. This inclusion was particularly notable as French President Emmanuel Macron graced the event as the chief guest, further strengthening the ties between the two nations.
The IAF tableau and the accompanying flypast were integral parts of the Republic Day celebrations, reflecting the theme of 'Bharatiya Vayu Sena: Saksham, Sashakt, Atmanirbhar," which emphasized India's democratic values and aspirations for development.
The participation of the IAF in the parade was a proud moment for the nation, displaying the strength and evolution of India's air defence capabilities.
