2 apprehended with brown sugar in Sikkim's Jorethang

GANGTOK: The Jorethang police on Tuesday night arrested two person with contraband substance suspected to be brown sugar.

A team led by SHO Niraj Khatiwada of Jorethang police station arrested two persons hailing from Chisopani for carrying the banned narcotics.

According to reports, the duo was travelling in a scooty from Siliguri to Chisopani.

During a search, 48 pouches of brown sugar were found hidden inside a scooty visor. Police has registered a case under NDPS Act.
