Chief Minister Pawan Chamling has been invited to the Global Climate Action Summit in San Fransisco from September 12-14. The summit is conducted to bring together all the leaders from government, business and representatives of the civil society.
The attendees were expected to report their climate action and make new commitments. The conference is meant to prevent the worst effects of a warming planet in view of the fear of a peaking of global emissions by 2020, the invitation letter to Chamling said.
Further in the invitation it was also mentioned that the Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. is looking forward to work together for the betterment of the world.
