Portfolios of Sikkim Ministry announced

Guwahati, May 30, 2019:

The Government of Sikkim on Thursday announced the list of ministerial portfolios of the members of the Council of Minister following the orders of the Governor of Sikkim, Ganga Prasad.

As per the list, Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang (Golay) will look after the Home Department, Finance Revenue & Expenditure Department, Development Planning & North East Council Affairs Department, Excise Department.

Whereas, Kunga Nima Lepcha will look after the Human Resource Development Department, law and Legislative and Parliamentary affairs and Land Revenue and Disaster Management department.

Sonam Lama will head the Rural Management and Development Department, and Pachayati Raj and Co-operative Department and Ecclesiastical Affairs Department.

Bedu Singh Panth will head the Tourism and Civil Aviation Department and Commerce and Industries Departments.

Mani Kumar Sharma will look after Healthcare, Human Services and Family Welfare Services, Social Justice, Empowerment and Welfare Department.

Arun Upreti has been given the charge for Urban and Housing Development Department and Food Civil Supplies and Consumers Affairs Department.

Samdup Lepcha will look after Public Works (Roads and Bridges) and Cultural Affaiirs and Heritahge Departments.

Lok Nath Sharma will look after Food Security and Agriculture Development and Horticulture and Cash Crops Development and Animal Husbandry, Live stock Fisheries and Veterinary Services, Information and Public Relation and Printing Departments

Mingma Narbu Sherpa will head the Energy and Power and Labour Departments

Karma Loday Bhutia will head the Forest Environment and Wildlife Management, Mines, Mineral and Geology and Science and Technology Departments

Bhim Hang Limboo will look after the Water security and Public Health Engineering and Water Resources and River Development Departments.

Whereas, Sanjit Kharel will lead the Sikkim Public Works (Building and Housing) and Transport Departments
