Gangtok: The former chief Minister of Sikkim Sanchaman Limboo dies at 73.
He passed away today at STNM hospital after suffering from prolong illness.
The news was confirmed by Director of STNM Hospital Mr DN Bhutia.
Sanchaman Limboo was born on 15 January 1947 and He was the fourth chief Minister of Sikkim from 17 June 1994 – 12 December 1994 from Sikkim Sangram Parishad Party.
He became the CM for nearly six month after toppling down the Late Nar Bahadur Bhandari's Government of Sikkim Sangram Parishad while he was in the cabinet minister in the same government in the year 1994.

He formed the Congress government with support from BL (Bhutia Lepcha) MLAs. Later during the time of Pawan Chamling lead Sikkim Democratic Front(SDF) government he became the Deputy Chairman of Planning Commission.
During his period the central act of Other Backward classes (OBC) was enforced in Sikkim.
