Guwahati, June 28, 2019:

Assam boy Gaurav Bora joined Delhi Dynamos FC who was earlier with the Chennai City FC.

The 20-year-old footballer played 20 matches for Chennai City last season; scored 2 goals in the final match of the season to hand title to the team from Tamil Nadu.

The football player expressed happiness over his selection at the Delhi Dynamos FC and acknowledged the coaches.

Gaurav Bora, the I-League 2018-19 'emerging player of the year', managed to grab quite a few eyeballs last season.

Delhi Dynamos FC director Rohan Sharma said that it is very fortunate to have signed Gaurav. In line with our club ideology we firmly believe in India’s young talent and Gaurav to me is one of the (if not the most) talented young Indian defenders we have.

A former Delhi state team player, Bora also made his Indian team debut earlier this year when he represented India in the 2020 AFC U-23 Championship qualifiers.

Head Coach Josep Gombau was also in all praise of Bora expressed happiness to have Gaurav in his squad. “He is a very young talented Indian player and he has a lot of hunger. He had a very well last season where he won the trophy with Chennai City and I believe he can bring to us a lot,” he added.
