Assam Girl Tunlai Narzary Grabs Shot-put Gold in International Athletics Meet

Kokrajhar, July 17, 2019:

Tunlai Narzary has made Assam proud by bagging the shot-put gold in the 22nd Tatyana Kolpakova Memorial International Athletics Meet held recently at Bishkek in Kyrgyzstan.

The Assam athlete won the gold with a throw of 13.83 meters in the women’s shot-put at the Tatyana Kolpakova Memorial International Athletics Meet.

It is to be mentioned that Tunlai Narzary hails from Ghilaguri Dotma village located in Kokrajhar district of Assam. The athlete is also employed as a cop as she is stationed in the 10th Battalion of the Assam Police.

It is to be mentioned that Assam athletes are shining on the world stage in recent times. 'The 'Dhing Express' Hima Das is also setting the track ablaze, having won 4 international gold medals within a span of 15 days.
