Guwahati, December 3, 2018:

After another batting failure with an innings defeat Assam finds them in huge trouble against Madhya Pradesh in the ongoing Col. CK Nayudu Cricket Tournament.

Batting first in the Satindra Mohan Dev cricket stadium in Silchar, Madhya Pradesh scored 401 runs.

Assam bundled out for 217 in the first innings, with Abhishek Thakuria at (53) and Rajat Khan (52) being the top contributors.

On the third day of second innings follow up, Assam scored 60 runs with a downfall of four wickets, with Biplab Saikia remaining unbeaten on 32 runs. Assam still needs another 124 runs on the fourth and final day of the tournament
