Red Horns Division Jawan Posted at Kokrajhar Clinches Kickboxing Gold at Nepal Open International Championship

Kathmandu, June 4, 2019:

Sepoy Ravinder Singh of Kokrajhar unit of Red Horns Division has done the country proud once again by comprehensively defeating all his opponents in WAKO Nepal Open International Championship held at Dashrath Rangshala Indoor stadium, Katmandu from 1-4 June, 2019.

Ravinder Singh is one of the rising stars of the in the world of kickboxing. Remaining undefeated in all his matches, Ravinder defeated Maman Kumar of the Nepalese Army in the Quarter finals by 7 points to 5.

He faced Doren Singh of Nepalese Army in semifinals and subsequently Sudha from India in finals and won both the bouts by knock out.

This is not the first time Ravinder has won accolades in an international forum, his first medal was from an International Championship held at Belgrade, Serbia.

A serving Soldier, Ravinder is now armed with dogged determination to achieve even greater glory in this sport.

Ravinder will be participating in the Senior National Kick boxing Championship 2019 in mid-July at Rohtak.

He has been selected to participate in Sarajevo International Senior Kick boxing Championship 2019 scheduled to be held in Bosnia and Herzegovina in October 2019.
