Assam's ace swimmer Shivangi Sharma first Sports Conclave in Deshabhakta Tarun Ram Phookan Indoor Stadium, Guwahati on February 3.
While addressing to the media, the 17-year-old said that her main focus now after shining brightly at the Khelo India is the Asian Games. She said that her goal is to compete at the Asian Games in 2022, and it is her main focus at the moment and she will soon be going to Delhi for her training.
Orthopaedic surgeon Dr. Samarjit Khanikar highlighted on the common sports injuries and their remedies.
A panel discussion on Involvement of Public and Private Sector in Sports was also held that comprised Hemanta Kalita (Treasure, Boxing Federation of India), Styabrata Gogoi (Asst. Director Directorate Sports), Anshuman Dutta (Nutritionist), Bipul Handique (Coach, weightlifting) and Hiranya Saikia (Secretary Assam Taekwondo Association).
