Assam’s Riyan Parag retained unbeaten scoring a brilliant century for the state against Uttarakhand in the Ranji Trophy on Friday. The match took place at the Air Force Complex Ground in Palam.
Riyan Parag scored 104 off 219 balls in his first-ever hundred in senior representative cricket, helping Assam stand undefeated against Uttarakhand.

Assam was 237/5 at stumps in the Group C tie.

The 18-year-old cricketer was named in the squad for the 2018 U-19 World cup in New Zealand. In December 2018, he was bought by the Rajasthan Royals in the player auction for the 2019 Indian Premier League at his base price of 20 lakhs. He became the youngest cricketer to score a fifty in the history of the IPL.

The Ranji Trophy is a domestic first-class cricket championship played in India between multiple teams representing regional and state cricket associations. The competition currently consists of 38 teams, with all 28 states in India and Four of the Eight union territories having at least one representation.
