A billion hearts have broken collectively as the Indian cricket team has crashed out of the World Cup after suffering a heart-breaking 18-run loss to New Zealand in the first semi-final on Wednesday.
The match that began yesterday was stopped due to the rain. It resumed today and Nez Zealand set India a totally gettable with the hope that the 239 would not be big deal for the Indian Cricket Team. But the fate could not support the team as in just 5 runs, the team lost 4 wickets.
The unexpected hope was witnessed during the Jadeja-Dhoni partnership, but it was short-lived as the team crashed after Jadeja’s lost his wicket. Dhoni's run out shortly after put paid to the Men in Blue's hopes as a billion people collectively fell into display. Some spectators at the ground were even seen sobbing due to India's ouster.
India managed to score 221, thanks to the efforts of Jadeja and Dhoni, but unfortunately, it was not enough as India's run in this World Cup came to an anti-climax.
