Dhing Express Hima Das has been ruled out from the upcoming International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) World Championship to be held on September 27 in Doha.
The decision came up following her back injury from last year and Athletics Federation of India (AFI) confirmed her ruling out from the World Championship.
Earlier, on September 10, Hima Das was selected in the 4x400m Relay Runner in India’s 25-member squad for the World Athletics Championships.

In the absence of Hima Das, Jisna Mathew, MR Poovamma, Revathi Veeramani, Subha Venkatesan, V K Vismaya and Ramraj Vithya were been entered for the women's 4x400m relay race.
Jisna, Poovamma and Vismaya were named, along with Jacob Amoj, Muhammed Anas and Noah Tom Nirmal, in the initial list for 4x400 m Mixed Relay Race.

In an official statement, AFI said, “Unfortunately, 400m Athlete Hima Das will not compete at the World Championships in Doha due to a back injury.”
Hima Das had won 4 Gold Medals in 200m event in races in Europe during her training stint in July.
