National Cadet Corps Directorate NE Region is fielding the team in the U-17 Girls category for Subroto Cup 2019.
The team is selected from NE Region and will be practicing at Mizoram’s capital Aizawl.
Major General, Bipin Bakshi , ADG NCC NE region visited Aizawl on Sunday to motivate and encourage the team.
Bipin Bakshi also reviewed the infrastructure and kits available to the team for training and witnessed the practice match.
The team is hopeful of getting the medal in the category.
The National Cadet Corps is Youth Wing of Armed Forces with its Headquarters at New Delhi, Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on a voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Wing, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course.
