Former India cricketer Suresh Raina has pulled out of the upcoming Indian Premier League season citing personal reasons and has returned to India from the United Arab Emirates where the tournament is set to be held.
CSK CEO KS Viswanathan said via a tweet. The tweet read,‘Suresh Raina has returned to India for personal reasons and will be unavailable for the remainder of the IPL season. Chennai Super Kings offers complete support to Suresh and his family during this time. KS Viswanathan CEO’
Reportedly, the following development comes as a major blow for CSK sqaud as Raina has been a mainstay in the CSK batting line-up. Raina had trained with the franchise in Chennai before departing for UAE.

Raina had recently announced his retirement from international cricket. The development comes after Sursh Raina called time on his international career. The player made his last international appearance in the year 2018 during India’s tour of England and since then has been out-of-favor of the side.
The cricketer batted at the third or the fourth spot in his career which now belongs to Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer.
The 13th edition of the IPL will be begin from UAE from September 19.
